As a motivational speaker, I am always looking for ways to get inspired. I saw something very special last night that reminded me that in the game of life, it is never over unless you want it to be over. I was at my son’s little league baseball game on Tuesday and I saw an amazing comeback. It was the last inning of their game and they were down by seven runs trailing the visiting team 12-5. These young boys around the age of ten scored eight straight runs to win the ball game. It was so exhilarating to witness these young men come together as a team to do what most people probably didn’t think they could do. Most people in life just quit when they are down and out. Why do people give up when they are so close to accomplishing their hopes, goals, dreams, and desires? People give up because it is easy to quit, that is why. Usually when times get hard for people they want to go run away because running away is the easy thing to do. When life gets hard, the true players step up and that is what these kids did. They not only stepped up and produced when they faced adversity, but they had fun in the process. They counted on each other because they needed each other to complete their comeback. It was awesome for me to see these kids having the time of their lives while they were just playing baseball. I thought to myself, “If people in the real world had the same approach to their lives as these kids did, the world would be such a better place.” Just remember, I don’t care who you are or what situation you are in, it is only over when you call it quits. Never give up the fight because when you do you are only quitting on yourself and your loved ones. Think like a kid, kids are not afraid of anything. If they fall down, they just get back up. Remember, life is hard, but life is so enjoyable when you are making the best of your situation. Life is only as fun as you make it. I can’t tell you how many times in my life when I was down and out. Times when I was so close to quitting. Then something inside of me would just say, “Okay Hooman, this is it. It is now or never. If you are going to go down, you better go down with everything you got.” Saying that to myself would always inspire me to reach down within and gave it everything that I had. Those times in my life when I gave it my all I would always end up getting my desired outcomes. When you give life your very best effort, your life will be exactly how you desire it to be. If you ever find yourself down and out in life, it is okay, because you and only you are in control of your future. You are the only one who can make a difference in your outcomes. If you want to quit, then just quit, but if you want more out of your life then you are going to have to go after it like these little league boys did. Go after your hopes, goals, dreams, and desires with a determination that is unstoppable. If these young boys did it, then so can you, go out there and make it happen.

This is dedicated to the awesome performance of Austin, Bijan, Cameron, Christian, C.J., Drew, Fonzi, Jayson, Jonathon, Jordan, Max, Sam. I would like to give a special thanks to Coach Saunders, Coach Vetter, and Coach Lopez. Your leadership of these boys is going to bring out the best of their abilities. You are doing awesome. Thank you for your outstanding coaching of these young men.
