Hooman's Story

I have lived in america since I was one. I have always considered how my life could have been so different if my parents had not taken the risk of trying to have a better life for my brother and i. I have loved the freedoms that this great country has given me. My life has truly been blessed. I can’t even begin to tell you how lucky i feel to be in this great country. However, i’m hearing how this country has changed, i don’t think the country has changed i think that we have changed as people. I keep hearing how this country isn’t what it used to be. All i hear is how bad life is now because of the gas crisis. I keep hearing the economy is in trouble, this country is in trouble, we are in a recession and the sky is falling, antarctica is melting, and the real estate market sucks. That is just nonsense. This country is the greatest place on earth. What has changed is the quality of our thoughts. The country has stayed the same, it is the people that have changed.
