Be Relentless in Your Pursuit

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

Free Opportunities

The only way to achieve greatness in life is to be relentless in your pursuit. Nothing in your life will ever happen unless you make it happen. The world doesn’t have an opportunity line right next to the line where the homeless people get free food. You have to seize your opportunities, and if you don’t seize your opportunities, someone else will. Believe me when I say, “Opportunities don’t go away, opportunities just go to someone else.”

Its Too Hard to Achieve

Do you think Thomas A. Edison was intimidated by the monumental challenge of inventing electricity? Do you think Bill Gates was doubting his abilities to make advances in technology in the back of his Volkswagon van as a college dropout? Nothing is impossible if you see it as possible. Where there’s a will, there’s a way. You just have to have a burning desire to make it happen. The greater the challenge, the greater the effort required by you to make it happen. Are you up to the challenge? Are you ready to give it the relentless pursuit required to make your dreams come true? Are you prepared to sacrifice the blood, sweat, and tears? Are you ready to experience the trials and tribulations? Are you ready to have a personal confrontation with failure? I guarantee there will be failures along the way. I can also guarantee that failure cannot stop a relentless pursuit. Its entirely up to you whether you make your life ordinary or extraordinary. I believe in you. Do you believe in you? Go out there and be relentless in your pursuit.

Failing Will Make or Break you

Friday, August 14th, 2009

Jim Rohn said, “Failure is not a single, cataclysmic event. You don’t fail overnight. Instead, failure is a few errors in judgement, repeated every day.” Therefore it is critical that you learn how to deal with failure. If you look at failure in a positive perspective instead of a negative one, you will definitely grow from any failure you experience in your life. Henry Ford said, “Win or learn, there is no failure.” Everyone in life will experience some kind of failure. If you don’t experience failure then you probably are not pushing yourself hard enough. When you happen to fail in life, embrace your failure as an opportunity to grow and get better. If you don’t embrace it as an opportunity to get better than you are destined to keep making the same mistakes. If you keep making the same mistakes and you expect a different outcome then you are insane according to Albert Einstein.

Analyze your failures and see what you can do different so you can achieve the outcomes that you desire. Usually the difference in failure and success is minimal. Discover what you are doing wrong and try something different so you can keep trying to achieve the results that you desire. If you continue to fail then keep changing your approach until you succeed. Thomas Edison, said, “Many of life’s failures are experienced by people who didn’t realize how close they were to success when they gave up.” Thomas Edison failed over 10,000 times until he succeeded when he was trying to invent electricity. He said, that he had no choice but to succeed because he was running out of options. That is the dedication that you need to have when you are trying to achieve great success.

Dale Carnegie said, “Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by the people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all.” Failure is always overcome by persistence. Never give up the fight until you achieve the success that you desire. Failure only becomes permanent when you accept it as your final outcome. Those who achieve the greatest success were those individuals that refused to quit when they were chasing their dreams. You must refuse to quit if you experience any failure or setback. Everyone in life gets knocked down, but life only rewards those who get back up. Difficulties strengthen the soul, look at the positive side of your pain. What doesn’t break you will make you. Believe in your abilities to achieve and go out there and make it happen.

Michael Phelps Doesn’t Make Excuses, He Makes World Records

Thursday, July 30th, 2009

When Michael Phelps experienced his first defeat since 2005, he didn’t make excuses. Instead Michael Phelps did what real champions do, he let his game do the talking. He came back and set the world record for the 200-meter butterfly at the swimming world championships in Rome with a record time of 1 minute 51.51 seconds.

31051642 Michael Phelps Doesnt Make Excuses, He Makes World Records

When Michael Phelps finished a close second to a swimmer from Germany wearing one of those performance enhancing polyurethane bodysuits, he didn’t say that he lost because the swimmer from Germany was wearing one of those “steroid swimsuits”. Instead he flat out admitted that he was beat. He gave respect to the swimmer who beat him and said that he would be back.

“I do so many races that I can’t get caught up in one event,” Phelps said. “Last night, yeah, I was disappointed I didn’t win. But I knew I had to put that behind me to get ready for tonight.”

The swimmer who beat Phelps acknowledged that the polyurethane bodysuit gave him the unfair advantage that he needed to beat Phelps. He stated that his goal was to beat Phelps one day without the “steroid swimsuit”. The “steroid swimsuits” are going to get banned from professional competition because of the unfair advantages that they give to the people who use them. Michael Phelps is sponsored by Speedo and they do not use that polyurethane technology that allows swimmers to be faster than they really are.

Don’t Make Excuses, Make Achievements

While Michael Phelps could’ve used the excuse that probably anyone else in the world would have used, “I only lost because of the performance enhancing suit that my competitor was using.” Michael Phelps didn’t make that excuse. He came back and opened up a can of swimming whoop-ass and won the 200-meter swimming world championship with a world record pace.

“I really wanted to break the 1:52, and coming into the night I just said I’m going to go for it and whatever happens,happens.”-Michael Phelps

Michael Phelps is no different than you and I, he is a human being. The difference between him and the non-achievers in the world is that he was willing to work his butt off when everyone else was putting forth mediocre efforts. He was committed to his goals while others were just getting discouraged and quitting. Michael Phelps was dedicated to constant and never ending improvement while others were just dedicated to mediocrity. Michael Phelps has and unstoppable heart and a powerful mind that believes he can achieve anything he desires. That is precisely why he is a 14 time Olympic Gold medalist. That is precisely why he is going to go down as the greatest swimmer of all time.

Is he Beatable? Of Course he is.

Michael Phelps will only be beaten when someone comes along who wants it more than he does. Michael Phelps records will be beaten when someone comes along who is willing to practice harder than he ever did. Records are meant to be broken. Success is meant to be achieved. However success only happens if you have a burning desire to make it happen. It will only happen if you do whatever it takes to make it happen.

How do I Become the Best?

You become the best by modeling the best. Find out what the best in your field are doing and do everything you can to duplicate everything positive that they do until you experience similar results. You can achieve anything you desire if you are willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish your goal.

Never Make Excuses, Just Make Incredible Efforts

Be like Michael Phelps, when you experience setbacks along the way to achieving your desired goals, don’t make excuses. Comeback with a better, smarter approach until you achieve the success that you desire. If Michael Phelps can do it, than so can you but you must believe in your abilities to achieve without a doubt. Make it happen now.

11 Steps to Achieving Greatness

Saturday, January 31st, 2009

Achieving greatness is something that comes to those who are willing to make sacrifices that the average person is not willing to take. Achieving greatness is for those individuals who believe that failure is not an option for them. This is the time in American history where the greatest achievers are needed the most. Follow these steps to the promise land of achievement.

1. You have to have big dreams, really big dreams. Decide what you want and go after it. No one who has achieved greatness had little expectations. You must expect more than anyone else expects from you.

2. You must have total control over your thoughts and actions. You have to believe in your abilities to achieve. You can achieve anything you desire with empowering thoughts. All experiences in your life will be a direct result of your dominant mental thoughts. Power and control over your thoughts and actions will have you achieving the greatest outcomes of your life. No one achieved greatness without being mentally tougher than their competition.

3. You have to have an awesome action plan to achieve your desired goals. If you don’t have an awesome action plan, you will never achieve the goals that you desire. You have to be aware of what is working and what is not working. Don’t hesitate to change your approach if you are not getting the results that you desire.

4. You have to look at failure as just an outcome. If you don’t get the outcome that you desire, you must change your approach until you achieve the success you desire. Failure is just a chance to begin again with a more intelligent approach. You must learn from your failures. Failure must be a stepping stone to success and not a stumbling block. It doesn’t matter how many times you fail, what matters is your dedication to your success. You must keep on chasing your dream until you make it happen. Failure should never be an option for you. You will win or learn, but you never should believe in failure as one of your options.

5. Success leaves clues. Model people who have achieved the results that you desire. Learn from the best of the best. Don’t hang around the buzzards of the world. Soar with the eagles that fly high. You should network with achievers so that you are constantly pushing yourself to match their success.

6. Never stop learning. You must dedicate yourself to constant and never ending improvement. You must always strive to better yourself each and everyday.

7. You must strive to be a master of communication. The quality of your life will depend on the quality of your communication with yourself and with others. You must learn how to view each situation from your point of view and from other people’s point of view. Most people who have achieved greatness have been master communicators.

8. Be a person who is constantly stretching their abilities. Always try to achieve outcomes that are currently beyond your abilities. You must dare to achieve outside of your comfort zone. Stretching your abilities will make you great. You must strive to be greater than your competition. Roosevelt said, “The only thing that we have to fear, is fear itself. Don’t be afraid of anything because the greatest risk is the one you don’t take.

9. You must never give up until you succeed. Thomas A. Edison failed close to 1,000 times before he succeed in giving us electricity. He was asked why he didn’t quit and his reply was that he had ran out of options to try. He said, “I had no option but to succeed.”

10. Ask yourself empowering questions everyday. When you wake up in the morning ask yourself, “What can I do to achieve greatness today?” “What can I do to get me closer to the success that I desire?” “What can I do to make me a better person?”

11. Visualize yourself as if you are already experiencing the success that you desire. You have to believe it before you see it. Visualize daily of the success that you desire until you are living the life that you have dreamed of.

Follow these steps and greatness will be in your future. The sky is no longer the limit, space is. Richard Branson is taking tourist to outer space for their vacations. If he didn’t have vision and goals, he would never have become the success that he is today. You are the master of your destiny. You are the creator of your future. You can make your life as extraordinary as you desire. Dare to be great and manifest that greatness now. I believe in you. Do you believe in you?
