Glory Days

Saturday night fever movie poster Glory Days

Stuck in a Moment And You Can’t Get Out

When I see someone rocking a ridiculous looking disco outfit that looks like it came from the movie Saturday Night Fever, I can’t help but wonder….. Is this guy trying to get arrested by the fashion police? Or is he just stuck in a moment that he can’t get out of? Whether its the scars of their past failures or the sweet memories of their GLORY DAYS, there are countless people who refuse to let go of their past.

Jan Glidewell said, “You can clutch the past so tightly to your chest that it leaves your arms too full to embrace the present.” Its very unhealthy and useless to waste your precious time dwelling on the pains and failures of yesterday because all you are doing is prolonging your pain. Wasting the present just adds to your wasted past because today is tomorrow’s yesterday. All this does is recycle your pain.

Now is definitely not the time to be living in the past. Now is definitely not the time to talk about what you use to be able to do. Now is the time to show the world what you can do NOW. No one can change the past but everyone can control their future. To succeed in today’s world is harder than ever. Don’t sabotage your future because you are stuck in the past. Focus your thoughts on making the rest of your life, the best of your life. Focus on the empowering thoughts that are going to elevate your life to new heights tomorrow. Your glory days are gone if you let them be gone.

I don’t care who you are, or what you have been through. Its never too late for you to make your dreams come true. Its never too late to get into the best shape of your life. Its never too late to experience that dream love that you have always desired. Its never too late to scratch that goal off your bucket list. Don’t worry about what others believe you can do, worry about what you believe you can do. YOU WANT GLORY? GO GET YOUR GLORY. You want success? GO GET IT NOW. You want to get in to shape? Then go get YOUR SEXY BACK. You want to climb the tallest mountain? THEN CLIMB IT ONE STEP AT A TIME UNTIL YOU GET TO THE TOP. You are in control of your future. You are the navigator of your life. Choose your destination and don’t stop until you get there. Use the obstacles in front of you as STEPPING STONES and NOT STUMBLING BLOCKS. Your dreams will only come true if you make them come true. Achieving greatness is always easier said than done, but I know there is nothing you can’t do if you believe in your abilities to achieve. All of my GLORY DAYS ARE AHEAD OF ME. WHAT ABOUT YOUR GLORY DAYS? ARE YOUR GLORY DAYS AHEAD OF YOU? OR ARE YOUR GLORY DAYS BEHIND YOU? Go out and make the rest of your life the best of your life. LETS TAKE SOME ACTION NOW BECAUSE YOU CAN ACHIEVE ANYTHING YOU BELIEVE.

24 Hours to Live

Monday, January 18th, 2010

When I am out in public and I come across a person who is clearly miserable, I often wonder what could possibly be so wrong in this person’s life that has them acting this way. I ask myself, “Does this person realize how precious life is? Does this person understand that their lives could end within a blink of an eye?” Do you know someone like this? Do you realize how precious life is?

Nothing in the world is as precious as a human life. There are countless ways that one can lose their life in an instant. Look at the earthquake that has destroyed Haiti and ended all those lives. Do you think any of those poor people knew that they were living their last day? Do you think the people who have died in automobile accidents knew that their lives were going to end at the road ahead? Nobody knows when their time is near but that doesn’t mean that we can’t live like we only have 24 hours to live.

You should always live like you only have 24 hours to live. Living like you only have 24 hours to live doesn’t mean that you stop planning for the future. It doesn’t mean that you liquidate all your assets and quit your job. What it means is that your attitude reflects that your life is PRECIOUS. It means that when you wake up in the morning you jump up and clap your hands because YOU ARE ALIVE, YOU ARE ALERT, AND YOU FEEL GREAT. LIving like you have 24 hours to live means you never leave your loved ones without giving them a proper hug or a kiss. It means you don’t go to bed mad at the ones you love. It means you take your time to smell the roses. It means you put a pep in your step.

Life isn’t easy as it is, and it only gets harder when you desire more from it. Its guaranteed to deliver setbacks, defeats, and challenges that will rock you down to your knees. When life knocks you on your ass, what will dwelling in the past do for you? How do you think you will benefit from walking around with a miserable attitude? How is your subconscious mind going to like you asking it 1,000 times a day, “Oh my gosh, WHY DOES THIS ALWAYS HAPPEN TO ME?” Its going to hate it and you are going to hate your life.

The poor people of Haiti have dealt with so much trials and tribulations over their history, but what they are known for is their enduring spirits. They didn’t hate to be alive, they made the most of their lives. They are fighters and that’s why they have always persevered through the most difficult of circumstances. Don’t be your own SPIRIT SNIPER. Don’t dwell in the misery you have experienced in the past because you are destined to repeat. Think about what you can do to make all your dreams come true. Think about what you can do to empower yourself to achieve the results that you desire. Our lives follow our thoughts and our attitudes are everything. We are all created equal but what separates the best of the world, from the rest of the world is our minds and our hearts. Focus on empowering thoughts. Take control of your life now. Never stop believing and always look forward to the amazing promise and possibilities that tomorrow can bring. Always live your life like you only have 24 hours to live.

Core Workout That I Used to Lose 30 lbs. in 100 Days

Sunday, January 10th, 2010

I train the core of my body every other day. I do a circuit of several exercises. I do this for three sets with 2 minutes rest between each set. The first set I am able to complete with no rest in between exercises. Sets 2 and 3 I have to take little breaks here and there. The more rest you take, the less effective the cardio burn you get in return. My goal is to get through all three sets with only the 2 minute rest periods between sets. This is an AWESOME CORE WORKOUT.

Getting back into shape has empowered me in ways I couldn’t even imagine. I feel absolutely amazing. I suggest you take total control of your physical fitness ASAP so you can experience incredible health. Don’t say you can’t because you can. You just have to make a small sacrifice and the return you get will be priceless. Now is the time, to take total control of your mind, body, and soul. You deserve to feel AMAZING. Lets kick FATS ASS.

Develop Success From Your Failures

Tuesday, January 5th, 2010

Some of the greatest achievers of all time have developed massive success from their past failures. Nothing can be more inspiring then the discouraging feeling and utter disappointment that accompany failing. Failing is a major part of life. It always has been, and it always will be. Learning how to use failure as a motivator will determine your future success when dealing with the trials and tribulations that failing often bring.

Thomas Edison’s 10,000 plus failed attempts at inventing electricity gave him the wisdom he needed in order to succeed. If it wasn’t for those failed experiments, he wouldn’t have known what type of filament to use in order to invent electricity. Life will teach you invaluable lessons if you let it. In order to succeed, you must fail so you will know what to do the next time around.

The key is to not let your failure’s get too personal. When you are chilling at your self-hosted loser party, singing the following lyrics, “OH MY GOODNESS, I JUST FAILED BIG TIME. OH NO, WHAT AM I GOING TO DO THIS TIME? MY LIFE IS OVER. I WILL NEVER MAKE IT.” It is precisely in this moment of stripped dignity that you must get a hold of yourself, and summon that SUPER HERO from within you. It is during this time of darkness that champions and achievers are born. It is during this time when you stop feeling sorry for yourself and remember that FAILURE IS JUST AN OUTCOME.

Always remember…… Failure is never permanent. Failure is just an outcome.  If you don’t get the outcome that you desire, you just keep changing your approach until you succeed. My past failures have never stopped me from succeeding and they shouldn’t stop you. If that was the case, we would all be wearing diapers still because none of us would’ve ever made it past the potty training stage. Discouragement and failure are two of the surest stepping stones to success. Use your failures as stepping stones and not stumbling blocks and you will be amazed at how high you climb.
