Touched by an Angel

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

28 days ago today, I had a setback in my life that was bothering me over the last few weeks. It was something that I wasn’t looking forward to overcoming but I knew that it was something that I had to be overcome.

What was amazing is that when I decided to let go of it, I felt like the weight of the world was being lifted off of my shoulders. What happened next was even more amazing. I asked the universe for something specific to replace what I had just lost. I visualized exactly what I wanted and I let the laws of attraction handle the rest. I believed without a doubt that everything would take care of itself. I believed that the laws of attraction would take care of me like it always had in the past. In almost no time, the universe delivered what I had asked for. I asked, I believed, and then I received. It was almost as if I was touched by an angel.

Then I recalled a wonderful quote by the legendary poet Rumi. Rumi said, “Do not grieve. Anything you lose comes around in another form.” Not only did it come around in another form. It came around in a much better form. The laws of attraction not only delivered, it exceeded my highest expectations. I not only attracted what I had wanted, but I had attracted an angel. This angel touched me in a way that I had never been touched before.

That is when I focused my thoughts to an attitude of gratitude. I was grateful for what the universe had just done for me. I was grateful for the setback that I had experienced 28 days ago. I was grateful for believing in the laws of attraction. I became grateful for the amazing feeling that I am now experiencing.

I have never been as happy as I am today. I didn’t know happiness like this existed. I know that my happiness is only going to escalate to levels which were beyond my previous capabilities. Looking back, if I hadn’t believed in the promise and possibilities of tomorrow, I wouldn’t have experienced them today. My head is bursting with the joy of the unknown. Yet I have never ever been so excited about my future. This would never have been possible if I hadn’t believed that everything would take care of itself.

I hope that nothing bad ever happens to you. However, if anything bad ever does happen to you. Don’t lose faith in tomorrow. Don’t give up hope in everything working itself out. Believe that everything will be better and I promise you that it will. The laws of attraction will give you exactly what you want if you are a believer. There are angels everywhere, you just have to make yourself available and you too will be touched. I want to take this time to thank the angel that touched me. Even if your touch should happen to disappear, your impact on my life never will. Thank you so much for touching me in a way that I have never been touched before. You have truly changed my life forever.

Remember my dear friends, ASK, BELIEVE, and THEN YOU WILL RECEIVE.

Be Relentless in Your Pursuit

Free Opportunities

The only way to achieve greatness in life is to be relentless in your pursuit. Nothing in your life will ever happen unless you make it happen. The world doesn’t have an opportunity line right next to the line where the homeless people get free food. You have to seize your opportunities, and if you don’t seize your opportunities, someone else will. Believe me when I say, “Opportunities don’t go away, opportunities just go to someone else.”

Its Too Hard to Achieve

Do you think Thomas A. Edison was intimidated by the monumental challenge of inventing electricity? Do you think Bill Gates was doubting his abilities to make advances in technology in the back of his Volkswagon van as a college dropout? Nothing is impossible if you see it as possible. Where there’s a will, there’s a way. You just have to have a burning desire to make it happen. The greater the challenge, the greater the effort required by you to make it happen. Are you up to the challenge? Are you ready to give it the relentless pursuit required to make your dreams come true? Are you prepared to sacrifice the blood, sweat, and tears? Are you ready to experience the trials and tribulations? Are you ready to have a personal confrontation with failure? I guarantee there will be failures along the way. I can also guarantee that failure cannot stop a relentless pursuit. Its entirely up to you whether you make your life ordinary or extraordinary. I believe in you. Do you believe in you? Go out there and be relentless in your pursuit.

Hiding Your Problems is The Best Thing You Can do if You Want to….

Hiding Your Problems is The Best Thing You Can do if You Want to….

Hiding your problems is the best thing you can do if you want them to grow into bigger problems. When I was a little kid there were times where my room was an absolute mess with toys everywhere. My mother would tell me to clean up my room before I could go outside and play. I would be so desperate to play outside that I would open the door to my closet and shove all my toys in there. When I stacked up my collection of toys, I would slam the door shut and hope that an avalanche of toys didn’t come tumbling down. Bada bing, bada boom, no more toys in my room, problem solved right?

What I was really doing was sweeping my problems under a rug. You know what happens when you consistently sweep a bunch of small problems under the rug? Problems that are swept under a rug tend to multiply into much bigger problems. They tend to float around in the back of our minds while they slowly grow in size while we are in denial. So many people let their small problems manifest themselves into major problems because they think if they avoid them they will disappear. Then they find themselves forced into major crisis control when they could’ve avoided the entire situation. Don’t let your problems gain interest on you. Take care of any problem right then and there so you don’t have to worry about that problem rearing its ugly head again. Did I mention I always got hit with the avalanche of toys?

How to Solve Any Problem The Right Way Using The 5/95 Rule

1. Start off by getting excited about your opportunity to provide a solution to your problem. Believe that you can find the solution. Stay cool, calm, and collected. It is all about your attitude towards the situation. Having the best attitude will always put you in the best state of mind which is very important when it comes to being a master of solutions. Believing that you can do it will be critical to your success.

2. Forget about what you could have done. Its all about what you are going to do. No one can change the past, but we all can change our futures. It is very important that you get the highest and best use from your time when it comes to finding solutions.

3. Analyzing the situation should only take up about 5% of your time. This is what I like to call situation analysis. Find out exactly what the problem is. This step is crucial to your success because if you don’t know exactly what the problem is there is no way to fix it.

4. Spend 95% of your time seeking the solution. This is your time to shine so step up and find the solution. Don’t be afraid to take a risk. Keep trying different approaches until you succeed. Many people have achieved the unthinkable during the most difficult of times. There is no reason why you shouldn’t be able to do the same.

5. Learn from the situation and move on. Don’t keep making the same mistakes because that is what Albert Einstein calls insanity. It is imperative that you use every experience in life to make you a better person. Remember, “Win or Learn, there is no failure,” Henry Ford.

Achieve Any Goal You Desire With a Strong Enough Reason WHY

Thursday, October 22nd, 2009

205.8 pounds on 9/23/09

9/23/09 205.8 pounds

10/14/09 186 pounds

10/14/09 186 pounds

10/22/09 185 pounds

10/22/09 185 pounds

A STRONG REASON WHY

If you want to be serious about achieving any goal, you need to discover what is your dominate motivating factor behind achieving your goal. To achieve any goal you desire, you must have a strong enough reason why. If you have a strong enough reason why, the odds are very much in your favor you will make it happen. Create as many reasons why as you can. The more reasons why you have to succeed, the stronger your motivation to achieve your goal will be.

Motivation to Achieve Your Goals Will Come From

You need a strong enough reason why - When you have a strong reason why you want to achieve a goal, it will give you all the motivation that you need to be successful. There won’t be any denying you the results that you desire.

When you are looking to achieve any goal, you need to consider whether your “why reason” is the pain of not achieving your goal or the pleasure of achieving your goal. You are either motivated by pain, or you are motivated by pleasure. In my case when my weight hit 205.8 pounds, there was no way possible that I was not going to get back into the best shape of my life. I had associated enough pain to staying in the 200 pound plus range that I all the sudden was overcome with passion and a burning desire to get into the best shape of my life. I know that is what I owe my success to so far. I have lost 20 pounds in less than a month. I am half way home to achieving my desired goal of getting to 165 pounds. This is where your strong enough reason why will give you all the determination and persistence that you will need to be successful.

Never underestimate your reason why because if you have associated enough pain or pleasure to it, you will be successful no matter how challenging your goal is. If you want it bad enough, nothing will stop you.

Take your passion and make it happen now.

Creating Momentum to Achieve Your Goals and Keeping it.

Wednesday, October 21st, 2009

Creating Momentum to Achieve Your Goals and Keeping it.

Creating goal momentum towards achieving your desired goals is always easy because we all start out excited and enthusiastic. Keeping your goal momentum until you achieve your desired goal is easier said than done because the excitement and enthusiasm often wheres off when there is a setback or failure experienced along the way. This is where most people will accept their failure as permanent and they will throw in the towel, quitting when they should have kept going.

Do Whatever it Takes to Achieve Your Goals

When I decided to make a dedicated commitment to a healthy lifestyle, part of it was to lose 40 pounds. I weighed 205.8 pounds and I wanted to get to a 165 pounds. So I started off on 9/23/09 doing everything right. I started eating healthier than ever, choosing 6 little meals a day, instead of my old eating whenever I wanted habit. I started a dedicated fitness routine which included various forms of exercise, from swimming to working out with weights. Here are the before and after pictures. The results were spectacular. I went from 205.8 pounds to 186 pounds in 19 days. I was so proud of myself for the progress that I made. I was feeling absolutely incredible.

Don’t Stop Doing What You Did

My target date was before the new year, so I was well on my way to achieving my desired goal. The mistake I made next was a common mistake that most people make when they are trying to achieve a goal. Most people will experience a little success and that is when they start getting comfortable. They go back to their old bad habits that got them in need of making a change in the first place. What was I guilty of? I violated my diet on two separate occasions by eating some microwaveable Jimmy Dean sandwiches that I knew I shouldn’t have eaten. Every sandwich has 430 calories each. The first violation was 860 calories because I had two. My second violation was 1290 calories because I ate 3 of them. I knew I was pigging out and being bad, I just didn’t think that it was going to cost me 5 pounds. I went from 186 pounds to 191 pounds just like that. I felt horrible. I felt like I violated myself. I knew what I had to do. This was make or break time for me. Was I going to fall under the category of the 90% of people who lose weight and get it right back? Or was I going to go back to doing the right thing? The average person quits when trying to achieve their goals when they experience a setback or a temporary failure. You and I are not the average person. Average people quit at the first sign of failure because they think its too hard or they think that they can’t make it. Napoleon Hill said, “Failure cannot cope with persistence.”

The Key to Keeping Your Goal Momentum is

Remember, failure is only permanent when you have accepted it as your reality. You must refuse to quit until you achieve the results that you desire. Perseverance will move you through those trying times that make the average person quit. You and I are not average. We must refuse to quit until we succeed. A relentless effort is the key to achieving your desired goals. Never stop doing what you did to experience success. Yet, so many people will get lazy or comfortable and they will slack here and there. It doesn’t take much slacking to give you a major setback. In my case, it was just two meals. Those two meals cost me 25% of my progress. You should only change your approach if you don’t get the results that you desire, not when you experience success. It took me a few days to lose the five pounds that I had so quickly gained back. I went back to doing the right thing and I was reminded of what it takes to achieve your desired goals.

1. You must refuse to quit until you achieve the results that you desire. Be prepared to handle setbacks along the way. Use perseverance to get you through those difficult times that will make the average person quit.

2. A relentless effort is the key to achieving the results that you desire. You must take massive action until you make it happen.

What do You Expect? Here Are Some Questions You Have to Ask Yourself.

Monday, October 19th, 2009

What do You Expect From Yourself?

In this beautiful world that we live in we often get what we expect. The problem lies in the expectations of the average individual. The average individual doesn’t expect much from their lives. Anyone who limits their potential will only end up living up to that limited potential. Why anyone would ever limit their possibilities is beyond me? The question that I ask of you is, “What do you expect from yourself?”

1. What do you expect when you wake up in a miserable mood?

2. What do you expect when you have a negative attitude?

3. What do you expect when you don’t treat everyone like they are truly important?

4. What do you expect when you are terrible at communicating your feelings with your lover, your family, and your friends?

5. What do you expect when you have no hopes, no goals, no dreams, and no desires?

6. What do you expect when you when you don’t take care of your mind?

7. What do you expect when you don’t take care of your body?

8. What do you expect when you don’t give your very best effort at everything you do?

9. What do you expect when you settle for mediocrity?

10. What do you expect when you let people down?

11. What do you expect when you when you are a professional procrastinator?

12. What do you expect when you lost the desire to win?

13. What do you expect when you are lacking passion and perseverance?

14. What do you expect when you let your competition hustle harder than you?

15. What do you expect when you don’t keep up with the technologies designed to make your life easier?

16. What do you expect when you don’t trust anyone?

17. What do you expect when you let all the opportunities in life go to someone else?

18. What do you expect when you let others do your thinking for you?

19. What do you expect when you hang around negative people?

20. What do you expect when you don’t look forward to the promise and possibilities of the future?

21. What do you expect when you don’t believe in yourself?

22. What do you expect when you don’t have any expectations?

Change Your Expectations to Change Your Life

The key to life is to expect more from yourself than anyone expects from you.  I want you to ask yourself these questions. If you are guilty of any of these expectations its okay. We all have been guilty of some of these expectations. Just have the opposite expectations moving forward and you will be shocked at the results that you experience. Life is what you make of it. If you want an extraordinary life, its yours. You are the master of your destiny. You are the creator of your life. Start living the life you have always dreamed of now. Even consistent little steps will take you farther than you have ever been. Just walk forward.

Don’t let your life pass you by. Take control of your life today. Start expecting greatness from yourself on a daily basis. Power and control over your thoughts and actions will empower you to achieve the greatest outcomes of your life.

Your Hardest Test Will Demand Your Best

Your Darkest Hour

Life’s most difficult challenges will often come when you least expect it. This makes overcoming these difficulties that much harder. Whether you are dealing with a death in your family, a heart breaking end to a wonderful relationship, a loss of employment, or any other setback or failure, it is during these defining moments in your life that develops the quality of your character.

How to Cope

There is no easy way of dealing with a devastating blow to your life. Usually these dark and desolate times force a person to look deep into their soul to look for the answer. It is often during this period of soul searching that will cause even the toughest of characters to crack. This is the most important time to remember that time will heal any wound. This is the critical time to remember that difficulties strengthen the soul. This is the time to remember that what doesn’t break you, will make you. This is the time to remember to persevere.

How to Make it Through Anything

Perseverance moves you through those trying times that would make the average person quit. Perseverance keeps you strong in your darkest hour when there seems to be no hope. Perseverance is what gives you the strength to forge ahead when every voice inside your soul is screaming for you to quit.

Achievers Will…..

If you ever feel that there is no hope, remind yourself that some of the greatest accomplishments in the world have been achieved by those who kept trying when there seemed to be no hope at all. Everyone in life gets knocked down, but life only rewards those who get back up. Never stop believing in the promise and possibilities that tomorrow will bring. Never stop believing in your ability to turn your life around. Never stop believing in your abilities to achieve. I know it is so easy to quit and I know that most people do quit when the going gets tough. I also know that achievers never quit and they don’t do things because they are easy. Achievers do things because they are hard and challenging. I know you will always be an achiever as long as you are a believer. Always keep hope alive and allow your perseverance to get you through your darkest hour.

How The Best Became The Best

Wednesday, October 14th, 2009

What is Your Point of Reference?

The majority of the people in this world will settle for mediocrity because they feel like they are already doing good. Their philosophy is “If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it.” These people will fail to achieve bigger and better things because they feel like they are already achieving. The million dollar question is, who are they comparing themselves to? What is their point of reference?  Are they comparing themselves to the manager at Burger King? Are they comparing themselves to their unemployed cousin who consistently loses all his jobs because of his sexually harassing behavior? Are they not calling themselves an alcoholic because they only drink a 12 pack of beer a day vs. their friend who drinks 18 beers a day? You are only as good as your point of reference.

Who is Your Inspiration?

The greatest achievers are always inspired by other great achievers. Tiger Woods had a goal of being better than Jack Nicklaus since his childhood days. Tiger had all of Nicklaus’s records posted in his bedroom so he could remind himself of what his lifelong dream was. Tiger is now the greatest golfer who ever lived and he is only 33 years old. Tiger has become the world’s first athlete to make a billion dollars. Michael Phelps inspiration during the 2008 Summer Olympics was to beat Mark Spitz’s Olympic record of seven gold medals. His burning desire to be the greatest swimmer of all time was all the motivation that he needed to win his eight gold medals, breaking a record that many thought would never be broken. Do you think Tiger Woods or Michael Phelps would be the achievers that they are today if they didn’t compare themselves to the best achievers ever? I don’t think so. They are the best because they compared themselves to the best achievers of all time.

You Achieve Greatness by….

Make constant and never-ending improvement your new point of reference. Committing yourself to constant and never ending improvement will allow you to achieve greatness faster than you can imagine. Do whatever it takes on a daily basis to make improvements in your life. Even if the improvements are small, you will still be moving towards greatness instead of sitting still. Because lets face it, if you are not getting better by the day I can assure you that your competition is. Don’t let your competition get better by the day while you are not. Committing to constant and never ending improvement will create a powerful force inside of you that will inspire you to improve in every category of your life. The feeling of constant growth is a sensational feeling so bring it to your life right now. Becoming the best is never easy to achieve but as long as you are willing to pay the price, your reward will far outweigh the sacrifices that you made. Don’t compare yourself to the rest of the world, compare yourself to the best of the world.
