How Long Does it Take to Become Successful? Not Long When you Follow These 12 Steps

Wednesday, April 29th, 2009

How Long Does it Take to Become Successful?

The beauty of success is that everyone has a different definition of it. Regardless of your personal definition of success, if you follow these steps to success, you will find your success much easier to achieve. Remember, success leaves clues so model anyone who is already experiencing the success that you are after. You will be surprised how fast you will duplicate your own success by modeling the best of the best.

How Long? Not Long When…. You know that in order to achieve anything, you need a burning desire to achieve. Small desires = small outcomes. A huge burning desire = huge outcomes of achievement. You must know that your competition has a huge desire too. Therefore your desire to succeed has just got to be nuclear.

How Long? Not Long When…. Buddha said, “We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world.” Your thoughts are everything. You can achieve anything you believe with power and control over your thoughts and actions. You never let a negative thought enter your head. We are all created equal, its how we use our hearts and minds that sets us apart from the world.

How Long? Not Long When…. Your belief system is made of the most empowering beliefs. You don’t believe in the impossible. You believe in your abilities to achieve anything you desire. You understand that the only limitations in your life are the ones that you have created for yourself. Henry Ford said, “Whether you believe you can, or whether you believe you can’t. You are right.

How Long? Not Long When…. When you don’t believe in failure. You only believe in outcomes. If you don’t get the outcome you desire, you just keep changing your approach until you succeed. You use failure as a stepping stone and not a stumbling block. You believe that failure is just a chance to start over with a better approach. “Perseverance moves you through those trying times that would make the average person quit.”

Napoleon Hill quotes:

“One of the most common causes of failure is the habit of quitting when one is overtaken by temporary defeat.”

“No one ever is defeated until defeat has been accepted as a reality.”

How Long? Not Long When…. You know exactly what you want from your life. You have a plan to work and you work your plan. You are focused on your goals. You don’t let setbacks overcome you. You overcome your setbacks.

How Long? Not Long When…. You know that communication is the key to life. You know that the quality of your life is going to come down to the quality of your communications with yourself and with others. You are constantly trying to improve your communication skills because you know how powerful a great communicator is.

Henry Ford said, “IF THERE LIES ONE SECRET OF SUCCESS IT LIES IN THE ABILITY TO GET THE OTHER PERSON’S POINT OF VIEW AND SEE THINGS FROM THAT PERSON’S ANGLE AS WELL AS YOUR OWN.”

How Long? Not Long When…. You don’t believe in waiting for things to happen. You make things happen. You don’t believe in luck, because you create your own luck. You are a go getter. You spend your business hours taking massive action towards achieving the results that you desire.

How Long? Not Long When…. You are focused on the future and you never look back. You have learned from your past. Your vision for the future is full of the highest of expectations. Great achievements are the results of great expectations. You will see it happen only when you believe it will happen.

How Long? Not Long When…. You know that the greatest risk is the one that you don’t take. You know that opportunities don’t go away, you know that opportunities just go to someone else. You don’t fear taking action, because you fear not taking action.

How Long? Not Long When…. You believe in taking care of your clients. You know that if you take care of your clients, they will take care of you. You know that if you always do everything in the best interest of your clients, everything will take care of itself. You know that referrals are the key to your success. Therefore you are going to do whatever it takes to earn the right of getting referrals from your clients because you don’t want them to keep you a secret.

How Long? Not Long When…. You know that it isn’t going to be easy. You are excited about the challenge because you know that nothing great comes on a silver platter. You know there are going to be difficulities ahead. You also know that difficulties strengthen the mind. Martin Luther King said, “Only when it is dark enough can you see the stars.”

How Long? Not Long When…. You are committed to constant and never ending improvement. You are always going to be a student of the game. You are always going to practice your craft. You know that champions are made because of their practice habits.

Use Your Heart and Mind to Make you Great

Monday, April 27th, 2009

How do you use Your Heart and Mind?

Have you ever experienced something so devastating in your life that you didn’t know what to do? Have you ever had a challenge in front of you that just scared the daylights out of you? We all have had our share of trials and tribulations, but some of us just handle things better than others. As you know, its not what happens to you that counts, its how you handle what happens to you that really makes you who you are. Everyone is created equal. Its how we use our hearts and minds that makes us great. The stronger you make your heart and mind, the stronger you will be as a force. Lets face it, today’s world requires us to be at our absolute best. Its survival of the fittest, and only the strong survive. I can tell you that some of the major characteristics that have helped me achieve so much in my life have been the power of my mind and the desire in my heart. Without the burning desire in my heart and the power of my strong mind, I can truly say I would be dead today.

What Does not Kill me, Makes me Stronger.

Friedrich Nietzsche said, “What does not kill me, makes me stronger.” That is a quote that we all should live by. I have been through so much in my life, and when it was all said and done, I was such a better person after every experience. Whether it was the death of my favorite grandmother, or whether it was getting banned from the National Basketball Association, what did not kill me only made me stronger. Did it hurt? Was I devastated? Was I scared out of my mind? Did I want to jump off the Golden Gate Bridge? Yes, yes, yes, and yes, but I overcame my trials and tribulations every time and so can you.

Difficulties Strengthen the Soul.

Difficulties strengthen the soul, look at the positive side of your pain. What doesn’t break you will make you. Henry Ford said, “Win or learn there is no failure.” When you are facing the difficulties of life, face them with a powerful mind and an unstoppable heart. You must know that you are going to make it through. It may be hard, but you will survive and be a much stronger person over time. It doesn’t matter who counts you out, what matters is if you count yourself out. NEVER COUNT YOURSELF OUT. What matters is what you think. Do you believe that you will achieve? Face the impossible with the attitude that you will make it possible. Face your challenges with a challenge of your own. Challenge the challenge to beat you. Build yourself the mindset that nothing can stop you. Build the mindset that you are a powerful force that can’t be stopped. Ask yourself an empowering question like, “What do I have to do to overcome this obstacle?” If you believe, you will achieve. I know you can. Do you believe you can?

Zig Ziglar Said, “You Are At The Top” When

Thursday, April 23rd, 2009

Zig Ziglar has been one of my inspirations over the years. His electric personality has been adored by millions all over the world. I was looking through one of my old Ziglar books and I thought that for those of you who haven’t read his book “Over the Top”, you might enjoy this.

Excerpt from Zig Ziglar’s Book “Over The Top”

Zig Ziglar said “You are at the top when…”

1. You clearly understand that failure is an event, not a person; that yesterday ended last night and today is your brand-new day.

2. You have made friends with your past, are focused on the present, and optimistic about your future.

3. You know that success (a win) doesn’t make you, and a failure (a loss) doesn’t break you.

4. You are filled with faith, hope, and love; and live without anger, greed, guilt, envy, or thoughts of revenge.

5. You are mature enough to delay gratification and shift your focus from your rights to your responsibilities.

6. You have made friends of your adversaries, and have gained the love and respect of those who know you best.

7. You understand that others can give you pleasure, but genuine happiness comes when you do things for others.

8. You are pleasant to the grouch; courteous to the rude and generous to the needy.

9. You love the unlovable, give hope to the hopeless, friendship to the friendless, and encouragement to the discouraged.

10. You can look back in forgiveness, forward in hope, down in compassion, and up with gratitude.

Susan Boyle Goes From Zero to a World Wide Hero Overnight

Saturday, April 18th, 2009

Susan Boyle has truly taken the world by storm in a way which has never been done before. When she walked on to the stage to audition for the show Britain’s Got Talent, not only was the panel of judges prejudging her, but so was the entire audience. Britain’s Got Talent is Europe’s version of American Idol. People in the audience were laughing and they were rolling their eyes at her. Cynical judge Simon Cowell gave one look at her and his facial expression instantly said, “Lady, you don’t have a chance in the world so hurry up and lets get this over with.” Simon asked her what her dream was and Susan instantly said, “I want to be a professional singer.” Then Simon asked, “Why hasn’t it happened before?” Susan replied, “I haven’t been given the chance before but here’s hoping it will change.” The rest of this cinderella story will go down in show business history.

Susan Boyle started to sing “I dreamed a dream” by Les Miserables and everyone in the building knew that they were experiencing something truly extraordinary. This homely 47 year old gave a performance that was so inspirational, that I bet everyone in the audience thought that they were truly dreaming. I couldn’t believe how amazing Susan’s performance was. All I can say is “simply electrifying”. The audience was in total shock and so were the panel of judges. Simon Cowell was watching her sing and it looked like he had fallen in love with her. I had never seen him so captivated by an audition. The first judge said, “Without a doubt that was the biggest surprise ever.”

The whole world has fallen in love with the woman who claims that she has never been kissed before. Her Youtube video has gone on to have almost 47,000,000 views already. Talk about going viral, Susan Boyle is all over the place with appearances on Good Morning America, The Early Show, CNN just to name a few. Someone has already established the Susan Boyle Fan Site which already has over 500,000 page views. I think it is safe to say that Susan Boyle’s star has been born.

I think it is so amazing to witness this inspirational story right now when the whole world is down. It just goes to show you that it doesn’t matter who you are or what you look like, if you have a dream and you never stop believing, then your dreams can come true. Can you imagine what people would think when Susan told people that her dream was to be a professional singer? I bet they laughed in her face. I bet many people have tried to steal her dream time and time again because of her appearance. I have said it before and I will say it again, “I don’t care what others believe you can achieve. I only care what you believe you can achieve. Dreams only die because people let them die. Dreams come true when those truly inspired individuals make them come true. I can’t tell you how many people try to steal other people’s dreams. The only reason people do that is because they have already lost their dream. They have lost their faith in their abilities so they try to interfere with everyone else’s. That is why you need to stay away from anyone who is negative in your life. Let them give up their dreams because you are not going to. We all have dreams, but it is the people who believe in their dreams that make them come true.

Susan Boyle has shown the whole world that it is never too late to make your dreams come true. What’s your dream? Or did you give up on that dream a long time ago? Whether you gave up your dream or if you are currently chasing your dream, watch this video of Susan Boyle’s performance and you will see that anyone can make their dreams come true. Remember, you can achieve anything you believe so decide what you want and go after it. Go after your dream with the fierce urgency of now. If Susan Boyle can do it, then you can do it too. I believe in you. Do you believe in you? Watch her light up the stage on the link below.

How to Make a Drastic Change in Your Life

Wednesday, April 15th, 2009

Are you in need of making a drastic change in your life? Are you in a situation where you know that you need to make a drastic change, but you keep putting it off for some reason or another? When it comes to change, you can’t take the tranquilizing drug of procrastination. Making a drastic change in your life is easier said then done.

The good news is that you and only you, are responsible for any changes that you desire. You can make any change that you want in your life, but you have to believe in your abilities to make the drastic change that you desire.

You can make any change that you desire if you believe that your change is a must. You have to believe that you have no other option than to make a change. You have to convince yourself that if you don’t change, your life will be full of massive pain and heartache. You have to associate massive pleasure to making that drastic change in your life now. You have to imagine how much better your life will be once your change becomes your reality. You have to get yourself motivated to make the drastic change that you desire. Anyone is capable of making a change, but it all depends on how motivated you are to making a drastic change in your life.

When you decide what you want to change, that change happens in an instant if you believe in your ability to achieve your change. Making a drastic change in your life must be backed by major urgency. You have to decide that your drastic change can no longer wait, it must happen now. You have to be so committed to your change that you do everything in your power until you have achieved the drastic change that you desire. Making this drastic change has got to become your obsession. It must not be a matter of if you can change, it has to be a matter of how soon you can change.

Make sure any drastic change that you desire is backed by a mountain of motivation. The more solid reasons behind your desire to change, the more passion you will have to fuel your desire. The more pain inducing questions you ask yourself, the more urgency and inspiration you will have to change now. You have to make the cost of not changing now so high that you will take massive action everyday towards manifesting your drastic change.

Associate as much pleasure as possible towards achieving your drastic change. Ask yourself empowering questions like, “How will I feel when I achieve this change?” “What kind of momentum will I create when I have experienced my drastic change?” “What other achievements could I accomplish when I have experienced my new change?” The more empowering questions you ask yourself, the more leverage you will create towards making your drastic change happen now.

You must be driven to make your change now. Unleash the powerful force inside of you that will accept no other outcome than the drastic change that you desire. I know you can achieve this change. Do you believe in your ability to make this change? Change your life now.
